Kenya Healthcare Federation, in partnership with Strathmore University Business School (SBS), hosted the CEOs’ Forum at the Trademark Hotel in Nairobi. The theme was Accelerating Progress Towards SDG 5 in Healthcare.
The event brought together healthcare leaders to discuss advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in health leadership roles. Opening remarks were given by Dr. Theuri, KHF CEO, emphasizing the importance of progress on SDG 5.
Sessions included a presentation by Mr. Chomba from Grant Thornton sharing on the push for parity, Dr. Mutuku, SBS speaking about Women in Health Leadership-Driving country level change, Dr. Margaret Njenga, CEO of PS Kenya, discussing overcoming bias and imposter syndrome, and Dr. Gakombe, KHF Chair, addressing the topics of quality, equity, and parity.
Dr. Matendechero, Deputy Director-General, delivered a keynote address on creating work-friendly environments for women and achieving Universal Health Coverage. The event also featured a Q&A session and closing remarks by Dr. Theuri.
