Kenya Healthcare Federation is seeking a skilled Project Accountant to join our dynamic team.

As a Project Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by providing accurate and timely accounting support.

Job Purpose
The Project Accountant will ensure the financial success of projects by providing accurate and timely accounting support. The Project Accountant will play a vital role in monitoring project finances, analyzing costs, maintaining adherence to budgets, and preparing financial statements. By contributing to process improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with financial regulations, the Project Accountant will enhance project accounting efficiency and accuracy

Purpose and Objectives

  • To perform project cost analysis and reporting, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to project budgets.
  • To monitor and reconcile project financial transactions, including invoicing, payments, and expense claims.
  • To prepare project financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • To collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop project budgets and forecasts.
  • To conduct variance analysis and provide insights on project financial performance.
  • To assist in preparing project proposals, financial models, and funding applications.
  • To ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • To support project audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
  • To contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance project accounting efficiency and accuracy.

Programs Officer

Kenya Healthcare Federation seeks a highly motivated and dynamic Programs Officer to play a key role in the managing and running of our projects. The Programs Officer will support our various project activities and work on selected workstreams within the work plan, alongside project staff based at KHF and with our partners.

Job Purpose
The PO will serve as a key member of the team, contributing technical assistance to specific health governance and leadership challenges and supporting the implementation of project activities. Responsibilities will encompass administrative, project management, research, business development, and communication tasks (among others).

Purpose and Objectives

  • To serve as a liaison between KHF and our partners.
  • To facilitate development and monitoring of workplan for activities in KHF, working with team members and accounting for inputs for the project.
  • To facilitate development and timely submissions of biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Identify key milestones to highlight in the projects
  • To work with team to develop theory of change, results frameworks, and key performance indicators for the activity, and apply project-wide MEL plans
  • Throughout implementation, identify and manage risks to minimize programmatic disruptions.
  • To develop and facilitate organization and maintenance of knowledge management and communications materials, including communications plan for KHF activities.
  • To foster collaborative relationships with country and technical partners. Ensure effective and regular communications with internal and external stakeholders (including the prime organization, government partners, USAID, etc.)  among others
