KHF CEOS’ FORUM

In partnership with KCB Bank Group and Strathmore Business School (SBS), we officially launched the first Kenya Healthcare Federation CEOS’ Forum at Serena Hotel. This is a forum that brings together Top Leaders from the Private Health Sector to discuss the various topical areas and strategic aspects across all sub-sectors of Health in the country and beyond its borders.

This Forum provided exclusive access to high level networking sessions including direct engagement with Top Leadership from KHF Members, Partners including representatives from the Ministry of Health, Development Partners, Faith Based Organizations and Non – Governmental Organizations. The key highlight during this forum was sharing highlights from our 2022 – 2026 Strategic Plan.

In her opening remarks, KHF CEO Dr. Anastasia Nyalita said that the cocktail event hosted in partnership with KCB Bank Group and Strathmore Business School (SBS) aims to provide a platform for the CEOs to network as well as provide an opportunity feedback sharing on how the organization can attain its full potential. She also presented on the new KHF Strategic Plan 2022 – 2026 that has been developed with support from Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) and defines the organization’s roadmap for the next five years. It sets out strategic programs that will enable the organization to build on its achievements and lessons learnt to effectively respond to the changing operational environment. This new plan was developed through a wide consultative process and is aligned with the vision and core values of Kenya Healthcare Federation.

Representing the UN SDG Partnership Platform, PHC Window Coordinator, Irene Karanja provided an overview of the platform that was co-created in 2017 as a high- level collaboration between the Government of Kenya and the United Nations System with a focus of accelerating the attainment of SDGs in Kenya by enhancing multi-stakeholder and cross-sectoral partnerships. This is through accelerator windows formed along the Big Four Agenda; Universal Healthcare, Affordable Housing, Food and Nutrition Security, and Manufacturing and Skills training.

Acting Executive Dean of Strathmore Business School (SBS), Dr. Angela Ndunge made a presentation of Strathmore University Business School highlighting that it is ranked as the 3rd Best Business School in Africa that has trained over 700 Senior Executives on Strategic Leadership Programmes. This is through Executive Education Programmes such as Leadership, Corporate Governance, Coach Training, Data Science & Analytics among others and the various Academic Programmes such as MBA for Executives, MBA for Healthcare Management and Master in Development Finance.

KCB Bank Group Executive Head – Client Coverage, Peter Ng’eno made a brief speech on KCB Bank Group stating that it is the largest financial services organization in East Africa in terms of asset size and they drive efficiency whilst growing market share in order to be preferred financial solutions provider in Africa with global reach.

KHF Director, Dr. Daniella Munene gave the vote of thanks to the Sponsors; KCB Bank Group and Strathmore Business School (SBS), KHF Members, Development Partners, Faith Based Organizations and Non – Governmental Organizations who arrived at this forum and made it a successful launch.
