Board and Committee Leaders training session on Advocacy

The Health Sector Board of Kenya Private Sector Alliance – Kenya Healthcare Federation Board and Committee leaders led by the Chairperson, Dr. Kanyenje Gakombe and CEO, Dr. Anastasia Nyalita participated in a one day Policy Advocacy Training at the Lake Naivasha Resort. This was part of the KEPSA sponsored week-long series of capacity building training sessions for the leaders towards building effective leadership.
Some of the priority policy advocacy initiatives identified during the session include: Healthcare Financing, Pricing of Healthcare Services in the country, National clinical audit reports, data interoperability, duplication in regulations, Healthcare taxation regime, and E-Health policies among others.
Dr. Kanyenje Gakombe in his closing remarks thanked the trainers for the empowering sessions towards boosting their advocacy skills. He further appreciated the leaders for availing themselves for such an important sessions that has empowered them towards delivery of the members’ expectations.
