Regulatory Affairs Cluster Head, Africa – GSK

Dr Karanja is the Regulatory Affairs Cluster Head, Africa for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).

He has a wealth of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, having worked for GSK for over 20 years in several roles including: Sales and marketing, Quality, Medical, Clinical Research Operations, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs roles.

Francis serves as a Board Member in the local trade association Kenya Association of Pharmaceutical Industry (KAPI) and as a board member in the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), contributing to shaping the Kenyan Regulatory environment.

Francis is a Registered Pharmacist; with a Master’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Hibernia College in Ireland and is also a Certified Clinical Research Associate (CCRA).
