Dr. Anne Musuva is a distinguished health systems specialist with over 15 years of expertise in healthcare policy, financing, and systems strengthening. Currently serving as the Regional Director for East and Southern Africa at ThinkWell, she leads strategic healthcare initiatives across multiple countries. Her impressive academic credentials include a Master of Science in Public Health from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town, along with advanced training from Harvard Business School.
Throughout her career, she has held key leadership positions including Country Director at ThinkWell Kenya and Chief Operating Officer at Population Services Kenya, where she successfully managed multi-million dollar healthcare programs and expanded access to quality healthcare services through the Tunza Social Franchise network of over 400 private health facilities.
As the former Chair of the Public-Private Partnerships Committee at the Kenya Health Care Federation from 2020 to 2023, Dr. Musuva has been instrumental in fostering collaboration between government and private sectors. She also served as Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID HCM Project, managing a $42 million initiative aimed at enhancing health outcomes through effective program implementation and monitoring.
Her commitment to healthcare advancement extends beyond her professional roles, as she currently serves as a Board Director at BYON 8, a telemedicine company, and has been actively involved in various healthcare initiatives including the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage and the Utumishi Bora Awards. Throughout her career, Dr. Musuva has consistently demonstrated her dedication to advancing universal health coverage and improving healthcare systems across Africa while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professional excellence.
Recently, Dr. Musuva was elected as a Director of the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), further recognizing her significant contributions to the healthcare sector.
