Private sector leaders and professional health associations gathered to provide crucial input on four bills set to transform Kenya’s health systems. The participants included the Kenya Healthcare Federation Vice Chair, Dr. Wala, and the Kenya Healthcare Federation Director, Dr. Linus Ndegwa.
Led by Dr. Kahura Mundia, the Legal Advisor from KEPSA, the group reviewed the Primary Health Care Network Bill, Social Health Insurance Bill, Facility Improvement Financing Bill, and Digital Health Bill. The diverse stakeholders engaged in thoughtful discussions throughout the day, offering valuable perspectives to help shape the healthcare legislation.
The goal was to ensure the bills strengthen governance, improve access, and propel Kenya toward universal health coverage. The stakeholders’ collaborative feedback informed the final bills that were signed by the president. As the country stands on the cusp of transformative change, ongoing engagement around these pivotal healthcare bills remains instrumental.
