Program Officer

Joan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, with a minor in Management, and has over ten years of experience as a seasoned project management and supply chain professional. Currently, she serves as a Programs Officer at the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF), where she leads the Women in Health Leadership Project, funded by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Her expertise in streamlining operations, optimizing procurement, and reducing costs has been instrumental in advancing various organizational initiatives.

In her role at KHF, Joan has successfully coordinated impactful events that engage key stakeholders in the healthcare sector. Notable among these are the “CEOs and HR Forum,” which attracted over 200 leaders to discuss gender equity in healthcare across multiple counties, and the “International Women’s Day Conference,” which celebrated the achievements of over 400 women in healthcare leadership. Her strong focus on program planning and stakeholder engagement has made a significant impact on discussions surrounding gender equity in the industry.
