KHF started with seven founding member organizations in 2004 and has since enjoyed a tremendous growth. The current number of members is 131 drawn from medial associations, professional associations and corporate members.

Benefits of the Kenya Healthcare Federation membership



The provision of an enabling business environment forms the basis of KHF’s mandate. The Federation continuously engages the Government of Kenya and other government agencies on issues relating health policy, taxes, regulations and pricing. KHF has long standing networks and established relationships in several Public Private Dialogue Platforms in which members get to participate and air their views on issues affecting their business and the private health sector in general.



Through various forums and events, KHF members get to enjoy the opportunity to network and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders from the private health sector. These networking opportunities enable members to develop linkages and partnerships with leading Kenyan and international healthcare organizations, cooperations and associations; Expand and diversify their business portfolio through engagement and collaboration among members; Sharing and receiving invitations and information to business opportunity and high profile events in Kenya, regionally and globally.


Regional Integration

KHF is one of the founding members of the East Africa Healthcare Federation (EAHF) and close ties with the East African Community (EAC). KHF members are given the opportunity to participate, present and contribute to the healthcare agenda of these regional forums.


Public Private Partnerships (PPP)

KHF contributes to the PPP agenda via projects and partnerships (for example: PPP-HK).


Access to patent events, trade missions and expos thoughout the year.

KHF organizes its own meetings, workshops/events and also partners with leading global event management companies in the health sector and is often able to obtain heavily reduced delegate rates for its members.
